Atlas Robots Since 2015, the company has been installing standard robotic cells in small and medium-sized factories in Spain and Latin America for bag and box palletizing, pallet manufacturing, and glass handling. Here are some success stories involving robotic palletizing, where the people who operate the robots on a daily basis share their firsthand experiences with us.
Peru
Cielo Foods
Procesa 4,500 kg of wheat per day, seven days a week, using an Atlas bag palletizer since 2022. It has purchased four additional arms.
Spain
Heirs of Núñez Honrado
In production since 2015, without any issues. From 3–5 pallets per day to 20–30, and even 30,000 kg palletized within 4 or 5 hours.
Chile
SEK Seeds
From 300 to 7,000 kg per hour: Capacity increased 23-fold. The first seed company in Chile to automate all of its processes.
Dominican Republic
Roig Industries
100 metric tons per day palletized during normal working hours, with no night shift and no need to handle 25-kg bags by hand.
Spain
Fresh Fruit
Automatic unloading, depalletizing, and palletizing for to grow without expanding the workforce and make the end-of-line position available to the entire workforce.
Mexico
Vargas Corporation
From days of 12 hours at 8 after automating the bagging process, with staff who had no prior technical training operating the robot.
Spain
Pinturas Rodafuerte
From 20–25 pallets per week to nearly 60, with the cell paid off in a year and a half thanks to the reconditioned arm.
Spain
Serdà Packaging
3,000 pallets per day manufactured and 1.800 recovered. In the past, a person would move four metric tons of wood a day, piece by piece.
Spain
Templajib
From 10 to 11 a.m. production within the same 8-hour shift, and four people trained to operate the robot in 10 minutes.
What is common to all cases
When you read them one after another, three patterns emerge—and none of them is what you'd expect.
- No one lost their job. In all nine cases, end-of-line staff were reassigned to other tasks within the same plant. Furthermore, several customers expanded their workforce after automating their operations in order to continue scaling up.
- The initial motivation was physical, not financial. Back pain, sick leave, and difficulty finding people who could handle the demands of the job. Profitability came later.
- The cell was integrated into the existing plant. None of them had to redesign the spacecraft: our standard modules measure 3×3 meters.
Which cell do we install in each case?
Almost all of these projects are based on one of our standard solutions:
- Robot bag palletizer, up to 1,000 bags per hour, ranging from 1 to 120 kg
- Case palletizing robot, up to 50 boxes per minute
- Pallet nailer, up to 700 pallets per shift
- Glass manipulator y of boards
Each cell's arm is an industrial robot that has been refurbished by our technicians. A step-by-step guide to how we do this can be found at the process REFIT.
