The robotics sector is experiencing a great growth in recent years and the job profiles in demand are changing.

Companies are constantly looking for new ways to evolve and robotic automation of processes is already a reality for this mission. Undoubtedly, job profiles specialized in robotics or industry 4.0 will be in high demand.

What is Industry 4.0?

Industry 4.0 is what would be known as the fourth industrial revolution, marked by technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence and nanotechnology.

This industry has the potential to revolutionize business operations and increase revenues. This transformation is likely to change the production process, but it could also impact the way customers interact with a product. In addition, it could lead to changes in the workforce, requiring new skills and jobs.

Collaborative robots

In Industry 4.0, collaborative robotics, i.e., robots designed to share the same work area as humans, will play a major role. This type of technology makes daily work easier and reduces occupational hazards.

Undoubtedly, it will be a key element for all types of companies to continue to evolve and improve production. Therefore, automation and industrial robotics appear to be the future of companies.

From Atlas Robots we work in this new industry to automate processes with collaborative robots available to anyone. Here you can see an example of how a collaborative robot works in a factory.

Most demanded job profiles

Being specialized in robotics is synonymous with employability. No wonder that nowadays this type of profiles have a great future in the labor market as they are fully immersed in Industry 4.0.

According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) it is estimated that, by 2025, 85 million jobs will disappear due to digitalization and automation.

However, 97 million new jobs will be created that will be better adapted to the new environment between humans, robots and algorithms. Currently, the most in-demand jobs within the robotics and 4.0 industry are:

- Robotics / mechanical engineer
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning specialist
- Programmers
- Maintenance

The time has come for robots and people to share a workplace, and you can be part of the change.
