One of our clients is Sol de Alba Toasting. Company from Granada, which manufactures aperitifs and nuts, specializing in the production of roasted sunflower seeds and extra crispy corn, fried in high oleic sunflower oil.
En Atlas robots hemos creado una instalación automatizada diseñada específicamente para su producción, donde nuestro robot paletizador de sacos y cajas paletiza todos sus productos.
The solutions:
«Thanks to this system, we achieve two constant production lines without any break in stock and we also allow the operators destined to palletise the boxes and bags of vegetables to carry out tasks that provide added value..»
Although its foundation took place in 1978 when Tostaderos Sol de Alba was set up as a manufacturer, as it is known today, it began in the sector as a small distributor of nuts and dried fruit, consolidated in 1969 as Almacenes Barragán Espinar.
At present, Sol de Alba Toasting has more than 90 products spread over the five continents.
Sack and box palletizer project
Desde Atlas Robots diseñamos una célula robótica donde el robot paletizador de sacos y cajas es capaz de palletize bags and boxes of nuts.
Below, we can see the diagram of the functioning of the robotic cell.
The process
The supply of sacks and boxes
Both the bags and the boxes of nuts from the closing machines will be transported to the end of their line, upright and closed.
Sack Lying
The bags are transported vertically along a conveyor. In order to carry out the picking up by the robot, the bags are laid down by means of a pusher. After this, a roller conveyor takes care of their introduction into the cell.
When the stop is installed at the end of the conveyor, an elevator system lifts the bag, facilitating the capture by the robot.
The grabbing of the sack by the robot
The robot, after lifting the bag, makes its capture by inserting the claws into the slots of the capture table. To avoid movement of the bag during transport, its position is secured by means of compression by actuators.
Palletizing of sacks
Once the product has been captured, the robot will position it properly on the corresponding pallet located in the
palletizing points, making the appropriate mosaic for each format, as selected in the programming.
The palletizing is done according to the format of the bags and boxes, as well as meeting the needs of the customer.
Once a bag has been palletised, the robot will proceed to the capture of the next one, and so on until the complete mosaic is made.
The installation will be equipped with an HMI (Human Machine Interface) screen, which will have software generated by Atlas Robots.
This software will allow a qualified technician, after a course given in the Atlas Robots facilities, to program new palletizing tiles in the included and unlocked Mosaic Editor, with capacity for at least 8 different tile programs.
Full pallet outfeed and replenishment
Both the removal of full pallets and the replacement of empty pallets for palletizing will be done manually by a plant operator.
This software will allow a qualified technician, after a course given in the Atlas Robots facilities, to program new palletizing tiles in the included and unlocked Mosaic Editor, with capacity for at least 8 tile programs.
- A tricolor light beacon will provide visual information on the operating status of the installation.
- The entire perimeter is equipped with physical security fencing in accordance with current regulations. It has a front access equipped with the necessary electro-optical security barrier.
- The system is delivered ready for operation, including programming for palletizing tiles.
