Soria Natural is the leading company in the Natural Medicine sector in our country. It was born in 1982 thanks to Antonio Esteban.
It has three divisions: Soria Natural, as a reference brand of Phytotherapy and Dietetics for the herbalist sector, a Food Division dedicated to the cultivation, processing and marketing of organic foods and special foods, and Pharmasor, the Pharmaceutical Division that distributes its catalogue of medicinal plant-based and homeopathic medicines and supplements in pharmacies.
If there is one thing that defines Atlas Robots, it is its involvement with its customers and its eagerness to achieve the best solution according to their needs.
En esta ocasión, hemos desarrollado un Conheça o robô paletizador de caixas para ayudarles a aumentar su producción cambiando su final de línea y, a petición del cliente, obteniendo una palletizing capacity of 23 boxes per minute. By including our industrial robots and our secure palletizing cells, you will be able to it frees workers from mechanical, repetitive and harmful tasks, and improves production by achieving a constant cadence that would be impossible through workers.
The solutions:
Our client's need was very clear. They required a solution that would allow them to achieve the following objectives:
- First of all, increase production allowing to palletize boxes to a maximum speed of 23 cartons/minute. (Our robotic solutions are capable of palletizing up to 50 cases per minute in different mosaics).
- Preventing workers from suffering problems health.
- Automate the process to make it simple, so that anyone can handle it, and constant over time.
From the first meeting with the engineering team it was clear to us, they needed automate the end of line by means of a robot.
Following the plan, we designed an automatic palletizing cell equipped with a robot with a specially designed and configured gripper to capture the boxes, as well as the automatic capture of pallets and shelves. In addition, it has an automatic pallet exit from the palletizing cell when the pallet has been fully palletized.
Description of the elements
The following is a description of the elements with which the palletizing cell will work and their admissible dimensions.
The boxes
The products we are going to work with are closed cardboard boxes containing 6 vegetable drink cartons, grouped in 2×3. The reception of the box is from the front, that is to say, from the side of 2 units. The weight of each box is 6.1 kg.
The arrival rate of boxes is 23 boxes/minute.
Pallet and mosaic
The pallet on which it will be palletised will be of the Europal type. This will be correctly positioned on the capture table.
The following will be formed 5 layers on the palletand between each layer, place a cardboard platealso known as shelves or dividers, which serve to help immobilize the boxes for subsequent transport. The layers will be formed with a counterweight.
Description of the palletizing process
The following is a description of the elements with which the palletizing cell will work and their admissible dimensions.
Empty pallet pick-up
The first step consists of the automatic picking up of an empty pallet and its positioning in the palletising area. The gripper has grippers that open and close, so that the robot is able to pick up a pallet from the empty pallet magazine and bring it to the corresponding palletising conveyor.
Immediately after leaving the pallet, the gripper jaws retract and the robot is ready for the next process.
This process is repeated each time a complete pallet has been palletised and has left the palletising area.
Carton infeed into the palletizing cell
While the previous process is being executed, the boxes with the customer's product will be entering the cell through the access conveyor. Depending on the capture that proceeds according to the selected schedule, the boxes are accumulated
longitudinally on the first conveyor, and a pusher will be in charge of moving the boxes to the second conveyor, for its transverse accumulation. The boxes must be laid down (if necessary) beforehand.
access to the cell.
The robot's claw is designed to be able to capture up to 7 boxes at the same time.
Palletizing and wrapping process
Once the boxes are positioned at the end of the line, the robot will proceed to capture them.
For this purpose, the robot's gripper jaw is equipped with a double system of movable blades acting under compressionwith an additional system of vacuum suction cups, ensuring the positioning of the boxes at all times.
First, the robot positions itself to pick up the boxes. Then, a pneumatic actuator activates the mobile shovel so that the boxes are securely fastened, ready to be transported to the palletizing area. Suction cups of
The empty space at the top of the top further strengthen the catch.
Capturadas las cajas, el robot (robô paletizador de caixas) se posicionará adecuadamente sobre el palé vacío, situado en la mesa de rodillos de paletizado, realizando el mosaico correspondiente a la producción según programación.
Whenever a layer is completed, the robot moves and positions itself above the pallet magazine. In the same way as for pallet gripping, the grippers are unfolded, this time with the jaws parallel to the surface of the panel.
By means of the vacuum technologyThe robot is able to capture the cardboard sheet and move towards the pallet to place it on top of the corresponding layer.
After the cardboard plate has been placed on the layer of boxes, the claws retract to the rest position, and the robot continues with the case palletizing process.
Once the pallet is completed, it will be automatically evacuated from the palletizing cell by means of a roller conveyor to the automatic stretch wrapper.
The pallet travels along a roller conveyor to the baling area. The pallet will be placed in position and baled..
Finally, the process is repeated with the robot picking up a new empty pallet.
- The delivery of empty pallets and pallets with shelves to the plant will be done manually.
- A tricolour luminous beacon will provide visual information on the operating status of the installation.
- The entire perimeter is equipped with the physical and optoelectronic security fencing The safety devices are designed to reliably protect danger points and danger zones in compliance with the safety directive.
The system is delivered ready for operation, including the programming of the palletizing tiles.
