Our Sales Director for LATAM tells how we work at Atlas Robots
Atlas Robots has its headquarters in Valdemoro, Madrid. But our range of action extends all over the planet thanks to our network of distributors. This allows us to provide top quality service in every market where we have a presence. William Mirama is the person who coordinates the countries of Latin America and CAC and we have talked to him about what we do and how we are organized. He also explained everything we need to know about automatic palletizing.
What is your role within Atlas Robots?
I represent the company in Latin America, Central America and the Caribbean. My mission is to work with our network of distributors so that our work reaches that territory. Together we do a weekly review of the preliminary projects that potential customers have asked us for.
The truth is that we have found very qualified companies and we feel comfortable working in collaboration with them. We know that this way our work will be successful and we will offer an impeccable local service.
And what is the work of Atlas Robots?
We make robotic cells for the automatic palletizing of any type of product: bags, boxes, boards, glass... We eliminate the hard work of having to carry weight all day long. Our customers usually at least double their production, and this leads them to have to hire more staff for other areas of the company, such as administration.
What differentiates your work from that of a competing company?
Our cells are made with reconditioned robots and this allows us to serve small companies that have less resources to invest. The price of the cell is reduced to 1/3 of its value. However, it still provides the same performance as if the robot were brand new, because these machines have a life span of decades. In addition, we provide a one-year warranty on the entire installation.
On the other hand, the projects we develop are "turnkey". We leave it completely installed so that any person without technical knowledge can start it up.
What kind of companies usually contact you?
Any type of company, in any sector. As long as they serve their product on pallets, our robots are useful for them. We have worked with all kinds of products: cement, flour, vegetables, glass, granite, wood, animal feed, bottlesfertilizers, fertilizers, potatoes, boxescanned goods...
Companies that seek us out generally do so for two reasons: they want to improve the quality of life of their employees and increase their production. Keep in mind that if the producer is able to serve more product to the market he will be able to earn more money in the same period of time.
Is it difficult to find spare parts in Latin American countries?
Not at all. When we deliver the project we give our clients a list of basic parts that they should have on hand. Parts that are extremely easy to get in any country. So, if the warranty has expired and the customer does not need our help, he can do the maintenance and repairs himself. In any case, through our distributors we are always available for our customers at the time of their call.
